Great Bargains in Ottawa!

Very nice to be quoted in this Ottawa Citizen story by Patrick Langston (see below) about lower-priced homes in Ottawa.

Just remember: you are going to trade larger yards and high end finishes for a house under $ 300,000 in this area, and you absolutely need to have a housing inspection done. At least one of these properties has a bedroom being used as a pantry, so we know that means “cozy.”

But even so, there are some nice places on the market that are highly affordable, particularly in the $ 269,000 range, and with interest rates as low as they are, it’s a great way to build up equity as either a first time buyer or as an investor.

The selection is even better in condos in this price range, and that will include high-end finishes but the houses that Patrick looked at (I found them for him on-line) were all residential, and ranged from row units to one fully detached home. You can check them out here!
