#6- Getting a house ready for sale: the before-and-after shots!

As you know, we’ve been working like fiends on my new listing getting it ready for sale. And today, I got to see it after it had been staged by home stager, Micheline Masson, the owner of Property Staged. She’s been fantastic to work with, and is highly recommended!

Here are some before-and-after shots. By the way, Pat Blake from Blake Photography, one of Micheline’s contacts, has taken professional photographs for us and his pictures will be displayed on the Rogers TV show that will feature this lovely bungalow. That episode of my new show, Ottawa Experts: Real Estate, will air in mid-December, but since the listing went active before I got Pat’s shots, the photographs on the MLS listing will be these (amateur) ones until Monday when I replace them with Pat’s.)

Remember the kitchen nook, before?

Well, that’s the after. And here’s the dining room, before, and then with a bright new brushed nickel light fixture and fresh paint.

I didn’t get a great shot of the master bedroom before, but in the after shots you can see that the dark picture frame moulding is gone and so is that pink paint.

Here’s a look at the main floor bathroom: we didn’t do anything to it all, except Micheline staged it. Fantastic!

And here’s the living room in this gorgeous bungalow. For some reason, I didn’t get a “before” shot of this room, but isn’t it lovely? That’s the new brushed nickel chandalier I mentioned.

Here’s the TV room that separates the living area from the bedrooms on the main floor.

Finally, the TV room  has a lovely built in wall-unit that Micheline staged beautifully. (Those are my books and some of my art!)
